Ancient Animals Wiki

The mollusks are a diverse group of invertebrates that can prove to be quite unique. They have soft and boneless bodies, a mantle used for breathing and excretion, a radula for scraping food, and in some cases, shells for protection. In the beginning of time, mollusks had inhabited the seas alongside arthropods and fish. They flourished during the Paleozoic Era, and started to show uniqueness in themselves. Later, in the Devonian, they had evolved to become more modern.
